An Update from the Community Garden – September 2026

The Community Garden continues to yield a bounty of fresh vegetables with produce gathered several times each week. Our harvest includes tomatoes, cucumbers, summer squash, zucchini, green beans, and okra. To date, we have collected more than 1,600 pounds, all donated to the food pantry at Ada Jenkins.
Join us beginning Saturday, September 12, 10:00-11:30 a.m. There is always something to do, typically watering, weeding, harvesting, and planting fall crops.
No signup is required; all tools are provided. The garden is located at the corner of Potts Street and Catawba Avenue. We hope to see you there!
