Women’s Soccer Earns Win at Furman

GREENVILLE, S.C. — A 56th-minute solo strike from senior captain Brooke Roumy lifted the Davidson Wildcats to a 1-0 victory over Furman on Sunday afternoon.
The match returns Davidson to the win column, improving their record to 4-3-1 while marking their fourth shutout of the 2026 season.
Davidson was the aggressor early on in the contest, outshooting the Paladins 9-3 in the opening half. The decisive moment came early in the second half when Roumy buried an unassisted shot to score the first goal of her career.
Furman elevated its attack late, holding an 11-4 shot advantage in the second half while hunting for an equalizer. Davidson’s backline held firm, anchored by goalkeeper Grace Stair, who recorded four saves to preserve the clean sheet.
