North Mecklenburg Holiday Parade – Route Update

The 44^th Annual North Mecklenburg Holiday Parade will take place on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. This year, the parade will follow a new route due to North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) road construction on Hwy 115.

The approximately one-mile parade route will begin at Main Street and Griffith Street, travel along Main Street (Hwy. 115) to South Street, continue up South Street, and conclude near McEver Fields/Davidson Elementary School.

Due to the alternate parade route, we will only take 50 entries, and all vehicle entries are limited to two-axels. Vehicles may pull a trailer, provided the trailer is within the vehicle’s manufacturer-rated towing capacity, has current registration, and meets all applicable safety requirements.

Following the parade, the Merry Main Street Tricycle Race will take place on Main Street in front of the Town Green. This annual crowd favorite features four-person tricycle teams sponsored by local Davidson businesses as they race through a fun and challenging obstacle course. Come cheer on the teams and enjoy this festive community tradition!
