Matthew Brooks To Complete His Eagle Project in the Preserve Dog Park

by Press Release | Sep 22, 2026

Matthew Brooks from Boy Scout Troop 58 is currently working on his Eagle Project to support The Preserve Dog Park. The project will install an obstacle course and improvement to the water station by creating two separate places for the dogs to drink and get washed off.

The project will be underway on September 26, from 12 noon to 5:00 p.m. Please do not bring your dogs that day and time as Matthew needs the park to be clear while he makes these improvements.

BSA Troop 58 has been serving the Davidson community since 1960. The Troop provides a program for young people that builds character and leadership skills. It teaches the responsibilities of citizenship and collaboration and develops personal fitness.

The Troop was chartered by the Davidson Lion’s Club and enjoys strong support from the local community. Notably, Troop 58 has minted over 125+ Eagle Scouts.

Matthew will also be doing a community event with the Davidson Police Department K9 unit. The date has not been set but his goal is to introduce K9 Nitro to the new obstacle course at The Preserve and offer a chance for the community to hear about what Nitro offers to the Town.

The Boy Scout Oath: “On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.”
