Tickets are now on sale for the Sunday, June 3, Davidson Farmers Market benefit dinner, which will be prepared by eleven area chefs.

The event, titled “Ten4Ten,” celebrates the market’s tenth anniversary, and will take place under a large tent on the Village Green. Market Manager Abby Wyatt said proceeds will go specifically toward rebuilding the market’s storage shed, and generally toward market operations.

Tickets are $150, which includes one drink ticket and a four-course meal prepared by the 11 chefs. It begins at 5 p.m. with a cocktail hour, hors-d’oeuvres and silent auction, followed by a sit-down family-style meal featuring four courses with wine pairings.

Tickets can be purchased online.

Participating chefs will be Joe Kindred (Kindred, Davidson), Paul Verica (The Stanley), Courtney Spear (Summit Coffee), Jenn Jentz (The Pickled Peach), Justin Burke-Samson (Kindred and Hello, Sailor), Chris Coleman (Stoke), Samantha Allen (Fig Tree and Wentworth & Fenn), Tim Groody (Fork! and Ramen Soul), Tara Ebersold (Bleu Barn Bistro), Clark Barlowe (Heirloom Restaurant) and Bill Schutz (Flat Iron and Mandolinos, Davidson).

Chef Joe Kindred said, “A thriving farmers market is a vital part of what makes our community special. We love seeing local chefs loading up for the week, familiar faces, kids with big smiles, and wagons full of vegetables. It’s a big part of why we decided to plant roots here.”

The Davidson Farmer’s Market is a year-round, growers-only market, featuring nearly 40 vendors offering a variety of produce, plants, meats, cheeses, baked goods, organic and specialty food items. The market operates weekly on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon throughout the spring, summer, and fall. For more information visit the market website.
