Members of the community are invited to join the North Mecklenburg Rotary Club Wednesday, October 23 to hear Author J.A. Walsh. Walsh has pivoted in his career in intelligence and counterterrorism following the 9-11 attacks into a debut novel: Purpose of Evasion. 

Purpose of Evasion is a political thriller full of real spy trade craft, featuring an unlikely spy whose parents are killed by terrorists. Sami and his dream team of outcasts from the buzzcut world of intelligence uncover links no one wants exposed, including the White House.

The book was written to sound the alarm on the rising threat of White Nationalist-Inspired violence. Since the tragic series of mass-murders at an El Paso Wal-Mart on August 3, Walsh is donating 100 percent of his royalties from book sales to the El Paso victim’s funds.

Walsh is offering Purpose of Evasion at the meeting for 40 percent off the retail price. He will sign copies of the book following his presentation.
