Davidson College Among CleanAIRE NC 2023 Blue Sky Award Recipients
We’re excited to announce the winners of our 2023 Blue Sky Awards!
Each year CleanAIRE NC honors individuals, organizations, and partners who have shown extraordinary commitment to combatting climate change and air pollution in North Carolina.
This year’s winners will accept their awards at a CleanAIRE Affair, our annual fundraiser. Join us in congratulating our award winners on Saturday, November 4th from 7 – 10 pm at Discovery Place Science in Charlotte.

ALAN BURNS LEGACY AWARD
Davidson Sustainability Scholars, Yancey Fouché
As Director of Sustainability at Davidson College, Yancey Fouché works to bring diverse people together to create positive change for communities and the natural world. Since 2017 Fouché has led the development and implementation of Davidson’s Climate Action Plan targeting 50% emissions reduction over five years, along with campus transportation planning, and wide-ranging projects and educational programming connecting students, alumni, faculty, staff and community. She is particularly proud of heading Davidson’s Sustainability Scholars summer internship program, matching students with a passion for the environment with Charlotte-area organizations and mentors (including CleanAIRE NC) and helping them launch impactful careers.
