Our biggest need is Financial Support. Our sliding scale tuition averages $50 per child per month, and our cost to provide high-quality preschool is about $300 a month per child (low since we rely heavily on volunteers).
Would you like to sponsor a child? For a minimum donation of $50 a month, you will be giving your child the gift of education -- a strong start and the best chance for a successful future. We will send you a photo and update of your child each month. For more information, please contact Pat Shaw, Director, at [email protected]
Our on-going surveys with kindergarten teachers show our children to be inordinately more prepared than other children from Spanish-speaking homes…

Volunteer Needs
We remain deeply grateful for the calls we receive every day about donations. Due to COVID-19, we are unable to accept non-monetary donations at this time. Right now we're serving our families primarily virtually, and what we're hearing most is they need help with mortgage/rent and utilities. (Thank goodness, CARES Act funding will assist with some of that for a few months.) And our friends at Loaves & Fishes are bringing boxes every week for our food pantry clients. Our Food Pantry is operating as a drive-through service on Wednesdays from noon-2:30 pm. To qualify, click here.
Ada Jenkins Center services look different than they did before COVID-19 – click here for the details -- and we don’t know yet exactly where volunteers will be most needed in the weeks and months ahead. Please email [email protected] if you are interested in learning about future volunteer opportunities.
We invite you to help us serve our families with a gift that's comfortable for you; click here to donate online. Checks may be sent to the Ada Jenkins Center at PO Box 1842; Davidson, NC 28036.

Events And Fundraising Opportunities
Support someone’s summer of success!
Did you know that just $50 will send a Nigerian youth to one of our A2S summer camps? In 2021, we estimate that our summer programs will impact approximately 1,000 youth. Although we will not be taking a U.S. trip this summer, we refuse to cut corners with the quality of our programs! As a matter of fact, our amazing A2S Nigerian staff will be leading the charge.
Help us reach our goal of $50,000 for our summer programs! This will ensure that each camper gets just what they need to succeed this summer. AND GUESS WHAT! We even have a gracious donor who will MATCH UP TO $15,000!! This means that you can double your impact!!!
We believe that together, we can create an impact that will last a lifetime! To give, visit: http://bit.ly/2021SummerPrograms
